This war is criminal, dirty, and devoid of meaning. It has destroyed global institutions, including the UN, OSCE, and Red Cross. Yet, amidst the chaos, a collection of paintings was created in a bomb shelter. Each stroke was infused with the pain and hope that permeated the air. Counting days no longer mattered as time was measured by the war's duration.
Mixed emotions of anxiety, tears, fear, and hatred clouded our minds. The war destroyed our world, but we remain hopeful for a better future. We will return to a peaceful independent Ukraine, and the civilized world will defeat rashism. Life will overcome death, and light will conquer darkness.
The paintings in this collection are unified by a color palette of black, red, and white.
